I'm "Rick" (or "Pastor Rick" for those who like a bit more formality), and this is the love of my life, Peggy. Yes, we are both Pat’s and Red Sox fans (Bruins & Celtics - are OK, too)! We are both 1980 graduates of Toccoa Falls College (Georgia), and have pastored churches in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, New Hampshire, and Maine (Bethel and Otisfield). We have two married sons, Joshua and Jason. Joshua is married to Erin; they have 2 children, Michaela & Luke, and live in Bethel, Maine. Jason is married to Rayna; they live Brandywine, Maryland. Maine is where our hearts have been for many years (having come here in 1995), and Otisfield and the Lakes Region community is our home. We live in a log home on 30+ acres of land that has a view of the western mountains. Every day we marvel at God’s blessing in bringing us to Otisfield! AND! we love being part of the SCC family - what a joy to pastor this group of people! Children, youth, and adults are welcomed to participate. Come join us as we seek to serve God through the arts! Our Worship Team includes vocalists, musicians (guitars, flute, and others that God may send our way) who lead the congregation in a mix of new worship music and older hymns. Occasionally, we also make use of Worship Videos for the people to sing along with. They meet every Tuesday, at 10AM in the church’s Library. Any lady is welcome to be a part of this gathering - at any time. God is a God of relationship, therefore we believe He has spoken to us in His Word (and still does). Therefore, we “dig into” it order to understand Him, His Heart, and His purposes for us. Yes, the ladies DO enjoy fellowship and laughter (lots) together, but they are very serious about their Praying together. We provide a wide variety of canned and boxed goods (occasionally/seasonally fresh food). Our hours of service are: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 10:00 am to 12 noon We ask that community members wear a mask when entering for Food Pantry. Because there are local Food Pantries in the surrounding communities as well, our pantry is for residents of Otisfield only, however, we also work hand in hand with the East Otisfield Baptist Church, as well as other pantries in the area - in sharing food with each other, and providing for our community. KDZ is led by gifted adults - often with the help of a young person - that the children look up to. As with all of our Teen and Children's ministries - KDZ is guided by our "Safe Place" policies and guidelines - to ensure the safety of our children and yours.
